I drive a lot more careful than in the Z28 I previously owned. Not that I am concerned with breaking or damaging anything, it is just that I really enjoy cruising now. Good tunes, great babe ot 25 years next to me, oh yeah, life is good!! Sometimes I drive like an old f++t. Then again more often than not, Mister Hyde appears over the good doctor and some wicked driving occurs. Takes days for the smile to leave!
"great babe of 25 years next to me"... you just had to throw that in my face
Always praying to be first in line at every red line. Jump off the light somewhat aggressively, bang thru the gears, make as much noise as possible (Corsa Pace Car exhaust), hit the brakes to get back under speed limit (whole deal takes about 15 seconds). Always ignore every challenge because I just know the first time I do something stupid (like street race) I'll either wreck my car, cause a wreck, or hurt someone/something. Hey...I'm just a middle aged guy happy to be driving a vette. Don't need to prove anything to anybody.
Had my c5 for about 4 yrs and haven't hit triple digits yet. Really! No BS.
Mine is a daily driver and I would say 90% of the time, I obey posted speed limits and drive conservatively... a lot of motivation comes from the fact that moving violations out here in California are not cheap (well over $100 I believe). However, every now and then, if I am on a freeway onramp, I will gun it hard to remind myself of what I have.
I putt along at reasonable speeds and occasionally spray the go juice, but for the most part I like to stay within 10 mph of the speed limit. Here in OH the dorks won't raise it to 70 like all the surrounding states but the interstates usually run 10 to 15 above the 65 posted.
Used to drive stocks and sprints so the skills are there, I just dislike contributing to the states revenue.
Our interstates were designed based on the autobohn, but speed is where the similarity ends.

You should come to my neck of the woods! That's a bargain!

Sorry, didn't mean it to be ugly, I know I married WAY over my head, and yet she has humored me along for all these years. A year ago when I mentioned getting a Vette she was my #1 cheerleader. Her comment was "I have worked hard, provided good, and have earned it". I am pretty fortunate.
Daily driver usually. I drive sanely. I can count on one hand how many times pedal has touched carpet.
I've got 11,000 miles on my GSD3s... two tire shops I've gone to (for flat repair) have asked if they were brand new. Even still has some of the 'temporary rubber.' on it.
If that gives you an indication.
My WRX on the other hand is WOT very often. I guess because I have to WOT it to simulate a partial throttle experience in the Vette.

Oh no bro., I was only kidding ( cause if I REALLY wanted to, shoot, be for real, I would have to change my plates to... Playa9... thats what I`m talkin bout...) but thanks for your consideration.
I think both of you, have every reason to celebrate, each other. Congratulations !
What can I say - I'm comin' from a Camry, for cryin' out loud. I'm still getting used to the thing. I drive a little more spirited then I had, but after I recently learned the Active Handling does indeed work, I've backed off a bit. That said, I push the envelope every once in a while around corners and open it up a bit on the highway, but usually just drive it pretty sensibly.
Ask me the same question in a few months and my answer may be different.
I only drive 5-10 mph over the speed limits. I am an agressive driver, switching lanes many times, but always use my turn signal. I also enjoy being the first car at lights. I do enjoy the back, winding, country roads. Overall, I must be a conservative driver as I get 45,000 miles from rear OEM ties and 55,000 miles from front tires.
