Almost March Modness Pics

I'll post pics of my engine compartment when I clean it up if anyone wants.
Will, forum member Vettenoob who no longer has a Vette because of a baby and another on the way came by with some parts from his Suzuki Katana. We converted Chris's trailer to a paint bench. Katana parts primered.

George fondling one of his new headers.

George's car up on jack stands. No we did not use 4. Two were to support the weight of the midsection of the exhaust.

The Katana parts with a coat of silver on them.

We installed new plugs/wires and did an oil change on George's car as well. While the plugs were going in, I snapped pics of the headers and stock system side by side. Long tubes are on the left, stock on the right. The small cats are called pre-cats or pup cats on the stock system. They are not used on the long tubes. You can see the holes in both pieces for the front O2 sensors.

This is a picture of an X pipe versus a stock H pipe.

Will supervising as Chris puts another coat on the Katana parts.

Chris wrestling with a header.

George's car completed and off the jack stands with that 4x4 stance!

Can't wait to see your new engine look....

Thanks, I've seen a lot of questions about O2 sensors, X and H pipes and thought pics would be helpful.
Someone's gotta work and someones gotta take pics!

one step at a time my friend.
Glad you enjoyed it. It was a fun day. I forgot to mention that we took a break for some good Mexican food.

. I can't thank you, Chris, and Will enough. I know I would never have tackled this on my own. I can see this becoming a very expensive friendship
Wow, what a difference!!! I pulls harder down low, and right up thru 6th gear. The exhaust note is much more of a "growl" than it was before. I love it! Can't wait to get the tune next weekend.

Now all I need is some talent ...... and some decent weather. Maybe I need to move back to San 'Tone.
