Have you had the GM CLB recall done to your A4 and has it been successful?

The only A4's in the U.S. that had the colum lock was '97-'00. Mine is a MN6 but Ive already had the colum lock problem with mine.

You ask two questions and have but one response, so your results are meaningless.

YES my '00 coupe had the GM relay (bypass) installed, and NO it did not work.

I'm almost afraid to reply. As soon as I hit the "no problems" button, sure as the sun rises, it'll bite me. I bought it last year and the column moves freely so I know the GM fix has been applied and I cross my fingers every time I start her up.

I asked one simple question . Did you have the GM CLB done to your A4 and was it successful? Yes or No? And is you 2000 an A4 or MN 6?

JOVETTE is right, unless you know how many had the Gm fix and had it fail, your poll will not show the entire picture.

Bought my car and 2 months later, it failed. That's when I found out that the "GM Fix" had been tried. Bought an aftermarket CLB and no problems since. Get an aftermarket one and be done with it.

Whats so hard about this. If they didnt have the GM recall done on there A4 they wouldnt answer the poll at all would they......... I think the point Im trying to make is finally being proved in this poll if you have an A4 the Gm recall will work fine...... Mine has been in almost a year now and 10,000 miles and lots of 100 degree heat and crappy rain storms and a whole lot of start ups Ive not had a single problem. It seems most of us with A4s have not had a problem. The ones that have had problems with the A4s may have found a not so reputable dealer.......

Oops...sorry, I voted without knowing it was about the A4's.

With my six speed, it had the harness fix but the stealorship said it was the unit itself, not the harness problem. $400 to fix. pissed my off. they wouldn't disable the thang for me.

Mine locked up but I was able to get unlocked. I was getting the pull key 10 sec and service column. I ordered the bypass that day from thunder racing and is 15 min its good to go. lets hope that keeps the tow truck away from my car.
