Paralysis By Analysis Need Help With Decision

Anyway, I like the fact that I can do more to the C5 than it seems I can do to the C6. Also the only problem I have had in almost 2 years is the oil pressure sensor---I have gone thru 3 of them so far but each one was replaced by GM because they were faulty so I only paid for it once---other wise everything that has been done to the car has been by choice not necessity.
Pick the one you like the most and have fun with it
that 100k warranty may pay for itself in frustration if the 99 has lots of trouble
if you can pay, I say get the new one

That's my plan and I'm sticking to it!

Here's another solution to your argument about that "new car smell" -

You can not go wrong either way.
I see nothing about "It's blue and I love blue" or those kinds of things. Buy the Vette that grabs you emotionally.
Be sure and let us know - and see - what you finally get.

When I was in your shoes I chose the C5 (1998 Vert). I put part of the C6 down payment on my C5 and ended up financing $10,000. I then modded my car with the remainder of that down payment to it's current state (minus the stereo) within about 6 months of purchase. It was my first 'vette and I don't think I could have possibly gotten any more face cramps (from smiling) by driving the newer car.
I have not once regretted not buying the C6.

not both
