Default Strapping a C5 on a Dyno

I go to UTI in Orlando and in one the classes we have the chance to dyno our own cars. So I volunteered my car, so we had my car on the lift doing the safety check and the instructor said that he was not sure where we would be able to strap the back of the car down. He said that the lower control arms might actually get bent a little. So where are you guys putting the straps on the back of your cars? The car goes on tomorrow if we can get this figured out. Thanks Chris.

UTI graduate here...i actually went to the Mercedes-Benz ELITE training facility in Florida and put on a few presentations over at the Orlando UTI campus.

Strapping down the vette is completely safe/harmless, sounds like your instructor is nervous! LOL

Let us know what numbers you put down.

The c5 is one of the easiest cars to strap down. Older mopars suck **** to strap down

Wheels up front and lower control arms in the rear.

The rear lower control arms are more than strong enough.

There is a little bit of a debate about that. Check out the link.

We ended up using the cradle right under the diff. There are two spots that there are no brake or electrical lines.
