Paul, was there enough thread left on the lugs to feel comfortable that the wheels are bolted on securley?

Paul is the man. He hooked me up with a rear spring bolt overnight fedex when mine snapped and chevy couldnt get one for a few days. I was able to drive the vette over the weekend and make it to a corvette event.

I got 5.5 turns w/ 5/16 spacers. 1/4" will give you more turns and the tires will only be in a 1/16" more. Your call, I "think" the way I have it it will work. Maybe a little lock tight to.

I was glad to do it. Thanks again for the parts I got from you.

I took the Vette out today. Turns out the 5/16" spacers are to big. The lugs were not tight when I got home (2 miles and upto 8 lbs of boost) to see how thay were doing.

Im taking them off and am going w/ longer lug nuts. So IMO I would not use them w/ stock lugs.

Sorry to dig this thread up...

Without thinking i ordered a set of oem 18/19 c6 rims. Now i have no idea whats the best way to fix this.

1/4 spacer seems like it works without problems. is this correct? Where can i buy spacers for my car?

Thanks

I just put a set on my C5. The easiest thing would be to get the 1/4" spacers for the rear. Get billet aluminum spacers. I ordered mine from Jegs.com and they arrived in two days. $60 for a pair.

I'm happy with the results and have no issues. Most importantly, the car looks sweet

HOUSEOFWHEELS has replicas made for C5s... he is a great forum vendor. I went with the C6 Z06 Wheels... no spacers or anything needed.

I went with 18x9.5 (265-35-18)and 19x11 (305-30-19) C6-Z06 wheels from Bob's House of Wheels, they have the proper offset for the C-5. No spacers and no rub and lowered on stock bolts. price shipped for all 4 wheels was under $1K.

Just Got Mine Installed Today!!!

I used 1/4 Spacers on the rear, and that fixed the problem. If you want to lower the car i would suggest you to get 1/2 and longer studs.

Here are B4 and After Pics...

They are the OEM C6 Polished Wheels and Eagle F1 Runflat Tires that come stock on a c6. I bought them off ebay, and the guy said he took them off within 1000miles when he bought the car.

Thanks So MUCH!!!
