Ok, here's a stupid question for you. The dealer I bought my 2000 from last week was kind enough to give me a 30 day warranty. That means I'm busy checking out every little thing on the car just in case. My previous experience with a Corvette was with my old '71...comparing that car to my C5 is like comparing the space shuttle to a bicycle!
I have the automatic climate control system on my C5. When it's in manual operation it doesn't seem like the blower wants to force out the air as hard as I'm used to. Setting the blower on high in most of the other cars I've owned is like sitting in front of a fan on full power. Not so with my Corvette.
The automatic climate control was able to heat up the vehicle when it was 18 degrees this morning, so I think it's working. Is this type of operation normal for the blower on the C5 Corvette?
When I was in Vegas and needed max A/C I'd set the system full cold on manual, max blow and select recirc. The recirc setting gives quite a lot more output than the external setting.
Don't forget the A/C doesn't work at less than about 31 to 35 degrees. You'll just get a flashing A/C light if you try to select it.
To add to Daves (DeeGee) post above, don't choose recirculate when in cold weather... (He was talking about AC only) If you do, the car windows will fog and you will struggle to remove it.
It seems like our fan works pretty well at providing a nice strong breeze but it's been MONTHS since I've felt it...
When you turned it on high, where did you have the flow of air directed to??? Maybe I'm asking the dumb question now but if you had it directed at the floor and were feeling the front grills, not much will come out... but surely I'm grasping for a reason here... right?
BTW, there are NO dumb questions on the Forum, only dumb people... and I know who I am!!

That's what I found annoying. The blinkin' AC light! That and the fact the car thinks it's smarter than I when it comes to the recirc setting. I'm stuck behind some mufflerphobe and cannot get the recirc to stay on.
why we are on this subject at night time my ac unit doesent light up all the way. Like a couple buttons do but not all of them is this normal. I mean it works fine and everything just doesnt light up all the way even when you push them anyone know anything about this?

Sounds like you are talking about the lamps behind the buttons are not working. If that is the case, you can replace the lamps, but it requires a soldering iron and new lamps. Fairly easy to do. 12vdc @70ma bulbs for the correct brightness

If I want max output from the dual zone A/C, then I just push the fan speed button to max and do like Dee Gee - select the recirc.
