Hi I have just purchased a 2000 Corvette Tara from the US and imported it into BC Canada, We have to have the vehicle inspected to use in Canada and on the form it states it needs a Infant Restraint Kit unless it’s a convertible. Now not to shore what one of these is or if it is already fitted. Thanks in advance for any help.

Check the owners manual, if you got one with the car. Our '04 has designated child seat "anchor points" on the passenger seat. Not sure if this what they are referring to, or if the 2000 had them.
I just brought a 2000 into Canada last August and I didn't have to do a single modification to it. I think the infant restraint kit is, as c5streak said, an anchor for the 'latch' system. Maybe I just lucked out with the Canadian tire I went to but they did not even ask about it. I would take it in and if they ask about it go from there. You already have the car so its not like you are going to return it. Also, I don't think the part is expensive.
Please pm me if you have any other questions. The Canadian section can be helpful too so a post there wouldn't hurt.
Good luck
Look at the bottom of your seat cushion, there should be a small sticker on each side. The Coupes and Verts had no upper anchors(which the owners manual says are required in Canada) only the Z's and FRCs. I bet it would take a real arzz to give you trouble about it.
