I read a post recently, a member was asking about the GM hot cam. Most of the replies stated there were better cams for less money. If you do a search for hot cam you should be able to find the post.

i would stay away from the hotcam. not because its bad, but because like mentioned above there are better cams for less money. hotcam is a fairly small cam too. it lopes hard, but its not big.

with the posts above.

You can go with a much larger cam for cheaper and still have daily drivability. Heck, the cam I'm running now isn't bad for a daily driver. 232/234 112 lsa and its not even tuned yet.

Try the G5X3 cam from LG and AFR 205's shaved to 10.5/1. You'll like it.

What kind of power will the G5X3 and a set of AFR 205's give a bone stock '01?

i personally wouldnt daily drive a g5x3 cam. but thats just me. futral cams have nice DD characteristics. i have one on a 110lsa... its not bad at all. once i get a ti exhaust back on, it will be real nice to daily... even though i wont.

plus LG LTs, a good CAI, under drive pulley, and a great tune, mid 400 min to upper 400s is very possible.
