Unfortunatly I would say almost 3 times a week something happens to my vette that I have 0% control over. From the ditzy girl that hits your door into something after your warn her, To rock chips from semi's, and the always popular random scratch that comes from nowhere.

Not that often but it still amazes me that I will be parked in the middle of nowhere and a family van has to park right next to me and mom, dad, and the kids just pile out of it like nothing.

I parked out at bfe at a park once and came back to find some kids playing JARTS (the steel ones).One of the kids had thrown a JART through the drivers window!!!! Needless to say all h*** broke loose then.

Had my Vette about 3 months when someone brushed against the mirror on the passenger door and put a scratch on it with whatever they had hanging on them(probably a cell phone). Learned to park way away from everyone else sense.
Rock chips are going to happen if you drive in heavy traffic and you can't avoid getting stuck behind someone.

Be glad they actually fill the potholes where you live. I drive to work everyday on Michigan Ave. through Dearborn, MI on the way to work and in the area just west of Stanford Chevy the holes are so bad I check to see if I'm peeing blood when I get to work.

Try having kids in a beatup rice burner passing your high $$ Street Rod the shoulder of the highway and throwing loose gravel all over the passinger side of your car. Too many chips to count. They turned off on a nasty gravel road right after that and I was towing my teardrop trailer so I did not pursue them. I'd have killed them if I'd have caught them!

Never. It would almost have to be a club member or someone passing me on the freeway that opens their door. My car is just, not available for that function.

I try to park well away from other cars where I can. People here just dont seem to care about other peoples property and it really gets to me when it happens.

My gf opened the door, and she smacked the f... out of the car next to it. I hate driving behind other cars on the high way because of rock chips. If something does happen to the car, I will notice it.

Dropped my jaw...only once.To the tune of $18K for vandalism
sitting in my driveway by a 13 and 14 year old kids.
Reason:My neighbor told them earlier when I was at work
not to walk across his lawn because he just planted
some new grass seed.
That night I guess they were still pissed,so they wrecked their
havoc on his Ranger,my other neighbor's Yukon and my 'Vette
got "special attention" just cause I believe it was so nice looking.
2:30AM kids out at this hour.Anyway,they spent too much time
with my 'Vette bodywork that my neighbor had called the police
because of the noise.
The cops were there in a hot minute and had a K-9 unit
**** the little f**kers across the golf-course.
That was 4 years ago,and once in one lifetime is too much.
My insurance USAA came through like a champ and the car
took a month to fix,the body shop also did a fantastic job
making it look new again.
