Default Paint Screens?

I bought the screens for my coupe to cover the front, back and sides. Would you put a fresh coat of silver or chrome paint on them or leave them as is? Just curious what other members may do to their screens?

I left mine as is. I've seen a few members add paint and it looks good. maybe you could try a photochop to get an idea?

I painted mine black. I went to the hardware store and picked up both black and clear. The paint is the rattle can paint used for stuff like metal outdoor furniture and stuff. I thought that should hold well but it didn't and starting chipping off in real small spots. I did about 3 coats of black and then 4 coats of clear on top of that. Somehow that wasn't good enough. I guess outdoor furniture isn't going to be moving at 80mph with possible road debris hitting it. I might give it a shot again with some actually automotive paint or at least automotive clear coating it.

If you do it let us know your process and what you found that works. I'm sure others have done it too, I know I've seen a couple others in black.

I think they's look great painted. My only issue was would they chip or flake over time and look crappy?

Read a post a couple days ago where an owner had his screens powder coated in black. Don't know the cost but it seems like a more suitable way to permanently color your screens.

Once you paint them will the paint chip and peel over time?
