It’s been an amazing ride since I joined this great Forum just after I bought the Vert in December 02. From those early posts when I’d never even heard of BSMs to a position where I know enough now to make me dangerous.
I was lucky to even own a Corvette. It was only an unexpected assignment to Nellis AFB that gave me that once in a lifetime opportunity. I had some fun times in Las Vegas and I’ll never forget my first cruise in the Vert down Las Vegas Boulevard with the roof down. It’s something everyone should do at least once in their lives.
I’ve had amazing road trips through Nevada and California and the trip down PCH will be an experience never repeated. I managed to join Sin City Vettes – if only briefly – and made one cruise before I left for home.
to Purefun for getting that Club going. My one regret? I didn’t make the Spring Mountain Driving School
and maybe one day I’ll get back to do it.Shipping the car to England was a thrill but scary at the same time. But again, I’ll never forget that first ride (in the rain) on the left hand [correct] side of the road, even if my steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car.
I'm now also a member of the Classic Corvette Club of UK and have met a few great Corvette guys here in Lincolnshire, England. its great to see that we can get together over 400 Vettes for the Nationals.I’ve given a few tips, posted a few How To’s along the way, but most of all, I’ve learned just about everything I know about my car from the people here on THE Corvette Forum. And that’s the key to all this. Despite our shared love for this amazing piece of engineering, it’s the people who make the difference.
It’s always unfair to single out individuals for thanks but Bill Curlee, Patches and Bill Dearborn (oh and I nearly forgot E-T) who have been amazingly helpful over the years. Also particular thanks to BlackZ06 for helping me troubleshoot my AH problem. And I can't forget my fellow countryman England Green who has made me chuckle over the last few years. Also a big thank you to the Forum Vendors for being so patient in working out how to get parts to me at a sensible shipping rate. Bob at Fichtner Chevrolet has been particularly helpful but I could add a list of great vendors we have here who keep this Forum running with their sponsorship: (PFYC, C5Kidd, RPI Designs, CoH, Redline Goods, GM Partshouse, A&A Corvette, Vette Essentials, SS Inserts, exoticvette.com, pipedreams, Elite Engineering among others and sorry if I missed you). Can I collect my Oscar now?
Thanks to everyone for the advice and sorry to those I may have offended along the way. I do try to avoid doing that; honest……… but here’s to another 10,000
BTW bear with me if I bump this. It took a long time to get here.

I envy your living in such a beautiful and wonderful location.......everytime I visit England I always want to return. Would love to see the reactions you get when driving the vert around the UK
