No electrical gremlins to worry about down the road, when you have the manual top. Its really very easy to put up and down.

Putting the top up or down is easy - I wouldn't think that your wife would have any problems with it once she gets the hang of it.

I purposely timed myself once, just because.

Took me 18 seconds from exiting the vehicle to complete the task, and that was with purposely no rush on my part

It is my favorite feature on the car. The top is so well manufactured, I actually look forwrd to putting it up and down.

I have had ragtops most of my driving life and this top has got to be the easier manual top I have every worked with.

My wife has been thinking of trading her 04 Coupe in on a C6 ragtop and when asked if she was buying the powertop, she replied what the h_ll for, the manual is easy and why lose that trunk space (I really think she was more inclined to think “waste that money on a power top when it could be used for shoes”).

I have even put the C5 manual top up without any damage to any parts (mine or the car) from the drivers seat (I was told it was impossible, had to prove fellow ragtop owners they were wrong).

Also when it is raining I do not want to wait for some servo to cycle the top up, when as you see here the time can range from 10 to 60 seconds on the manual.

Good luck on what ever she picks and tell her to enjoy the top down along with the car.
