Default Stumbled upon an alternative to Cleartastic

I stumbled upon an alternative to Cleartastic paint protection product. A 6 inches x 7' roll of 8 mil clear plastic paint protection film for $50 bucks. I have no review of how it performs compared to Cleartastic but judging by how the site brags on it, it just could be a good and somewhat cheaper alternative. It is not precut but that would be what I would prefer as I want to put it in places no one cuts ready made. Not sure about the rules in posting a link so I won't risk making a mistake. Post here if your interested in researching this product and I'll get the link to you in an email. Be aware I have updated this original post with a corrected size of the product. 6 inches by 7 foot.

Hi HUBBSFD -

Just FYI - you can buy Avery static cling vinyl in rolls for around $16 - search google for it.

I have a roll.

best regards -

THANKS for the info. What I'm finding under a search for Avery static cling states the product is not for outdoor use. It does say it is 8 mls but I'm also concerned about static cling at high speed driving.

thanks for the link bud...

only problem i see with this, is that i thought it was a 6 FOOT by 7 FOOT sheet... this is for a 6 INCH by 7 FOOT sheet... which is far too thin to do any real protecting without multiple lines being cut.

good try, and it is a good price... but 6 inches is too short in width. needs to be 6x7 feet. then it would rock!

Well Go'll Dang IT! I was so excited. Your right I missed read the size. It is 6 Inches X 7 Ft. Still a good price and might in deed be useful but not as much as I had hoped for myself and everyone else. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Sorry everyone I goofed.
