I have been wondering about wheel size too... however I'm wondering whether to go for an 18/19 combo or a 19/19. Main reason for hesitation against the 19/19 is the possible ride quality degradation. Now with a 19/20 combo, this might be pushing it. certainly looks better, but what about the ride?

The cars featured in this thread look tremendous! The additional rim height really works for bling appeal.
If your intended use is mostly street, aside from a stiffier ride, since you have less side wall, you will be a happy camper.
If you intend to do HPDE's or road race, you may want to go with a different combination (19/18, 18s all around).
That said, most of us who road race with frequency have an entirely different set of racing rims/R compound tires however (most go with 18's all around: lighter better side wall height for shock absorption).
19/20s look great but decrease off-the-line traction and increase unsprung weight. The best of both worlds would be to have a 19/20" setup for dd duty, and 4x 18" for performance driving.
