Default oxygen sensor to short?

My car started throwing codes after my LG pro longtubes without cat was installed I know the back ones don’t work anymore but the front ones are throwing codes so I ordered 2 new front ones part # 19178930 and the wire is way to short to reach the connection, about 3 times to short why is this??

I installed LG Streets a couple months ago. Used the rear O2 sensors for the front since wiring harness is longer. Also make sure you didn't cross them.

I had Innovate tell me they've extended O2 harnesses ten feet with no problems at all.

Crossing the fronts is a no-no; but crossing the rears (if you still use the rears) has absolutely no effect on the car... nor will that alone throw any codes.

The only concern with crossing thr rears is if one eventually fails. The failure code that's thrown... will point to the wrong side.

Here's the deal.

When the LG pro's are installed, the common practice is to not use the rears. The front O2's are physically removed and the rears are swapped into thier place. Since the plugs don't match up between front and rears, an adapter cable is usually provided. The supplied wiring on the rears is also much longer.

So most likely, you have the rears installed in the front locations. You either have the option of returning the fronts you just bought to replace with the rear ones, or buying exenstions for them. You absolutely can use extension, but just be certain you buy the ones for the front-front extension, since most ones you see adapt the front-rear, since this is so common.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

I think I have a set of extensions if you are interested. Well...I know i have a set, I 'm just not sure if they are from or rear. Pretty sure they are for the fronts
