Can't really see much from the top especially on the drivers side. Thats why I took the shots from below where you can see the tubes. Have you got yours on yet? And secondly have you had a tune done? I plan to go to RPM in Garner soon.
no didnt get mine on yet....had a few "issues" with my set that were sent to me
I think I'm buying EFI live for mine to tune by myself wanna split in? get two licenses...worth a try
Waiting for mine to get done also, cant wait to hear and feel the sound. Looks like a great fit and finish.
I'd like to see some close up pics of your guys LG pros before install....all this fit and finish talk I'm on my second set from LG the first ones were "no good", second set is alright....just a rough *** looking header for $1595 i think....my old cheapo Jet Hot headers I had on my TA looked better fit and finish than these...I just figure for 1600bux borla could shine up the penny a little more

I am an idiot when it comes to doing anything other than oil changes on these cars. So I think it best for me to leave tuning to the pros. Thanks anyway and I will try to get some close ups on the pipes this weekend. Good luck on yours.

Yes I was pleased with the fit and finish. I will confess that I took some time last Sunday to do a little hand polishing on the primary tubes. They looked really good for about an hour then turned a bronze color. Oh well they looked good at one time.
The cats are the ones that were supplied in the LG kit. Don't know what brand but they are metal matrix design and you can see a lot of daylight through the matrix. Borla makes the headers for LG though.

I got mine used for about 2k miles, and they look awesome, the welds, and the metal looks great
I dont know why borla doesnt have the 5 year old with the chisel file that they have smooting out the air tube welds to take the 90 seconds that he does on smoothing out air tube welds to smooth out the weld from the pointless nut attached to my headers
not sure but to me it looks like this air tube flange was pulled from heat treat and welded on there...could they not have run a sander over it or something and ran a tap through the treads
Also not too sure on this....looking at my OEM equipment, the air tube flange and the exhaust manifold/header flange are parallel....here they appear to be off by at least 25 degrees...how is this not going to be a PITA to getg my air tubes to bolt to without the airtube being at a different angle and hitting the FRC....I guess I wont know until I install
Thanks, I did not do the install. Paid 400 to have them put on. From what I can tell thats about the average going price. My mechanic said they were pretty easy to install though.
That's what I paid to have mine installed here in FL. BTW, my speed shop charged another $500 bucks for the Dyno Tune which included the SCT Handheld programmer that has my stock tune and the new tune stored. It will also hold one more tune if needed.
The sound is great but wait until you see the dyno #s. With a conservative tune, the LGs (w/ cats?, stock Ti exhaust, and a Black Wing intake I gained 30 RWHP from baseline. Parts, labor, handheld and tune totalled just over $3k, and worth every penny.
Random question: why does it matter what the headers look like after awhile of regular use (re: stainless turning splotchy)? You never see 'em anyway, right? And long term there aren't any negative effects on the metal, correct? Thanks for any info, as I'm starting to look around at having headers installed sometime in the spring or thereabouts.

I really did not look at mine that closely but nothing jumped out at me. I think the air tube is pretty flexible so you should not have trouble there. I put rear o2 sensors in the front bungs today as suggested by LG. Couldn't really tell much difference. I punched it once in first gear today from a roll and immediately the traction control stepped in. Yep more power than before.

I don't expect a big HP number cause I already had shortys and a tune but I do expect a nice torque increase. I can tell already there is more there will try to get retuned in a couple weeks.

Probably doesn't to most people. My car see a lot of show time so I have to keep it detailed. Stainless or coated headers just look better than the stock manifolds to me, not to mention what they add for power.
