No, its not even the same year. I think 2000 was only year the M.Y. coupe model was made and mine is a '02. Besides that it still looks nothing like the model. There is a guy in my Corvette club that has a C3 model that looks just like his C3. Flames and everything.
I've got one that's a mix of what I've got now, what I want and what I used to have.
1/18th scale TR 2003 coupe modded with Z06 wheels painted black with a silver lip (that was a pain, don't ask) Harness bar, 6-point harness, still had stock seats at the time, Z06 calipers (half-right, got Wilwood SL-6Rs up front now). two-tip exhaust like my Stingers. It also has the GS hash marks painted, and the entire back painted vs. just the lower half.
I need to find another one and start from scratch now that I've got a pretty clear picture of how this car is going to turn out
I've got a Maisto 1:18 Diecast C5 convertible. It came silver with light gray interior. I stripped it down and painted it black to match my car. The only drawback, the wheels don't match. It's got some CCWs on it from a different C5 model that I swapped in to replace the wagon wheels.
Did Maisto ever make a 1:18 C5 model with polished thinspokes?
I got this model off ebay. It's a 1999 just like mine but the model has gray interior and mine's got black. Aside from that it's got stock exhaust tips and mine's got a catback so I have round and not oval tips. I am going to change that soon though. I'll eventually get a model of the same brand/size with black interior and do that swap too.
