Shoot, would have sworn there was a power increase. Oh well, it's a heck of lot easer to clean.

Well, I'd make sure its CARB approved. As anything before your catalytic converter must have CARB approval, or you're in big trouble in CA.

So will I be able to keep up with your Vette once I install my non CARB approved POWER Coupler, how come your engine looks sorta different than mine, was that a Special Edition or something ?

Speaking of CARB, got my BB Shortys in last night (in the mail) no CARB number on plate on headers or anywhere on any of the 10 pcs., of paper sent, gonna call now, WTF

Yup my 99 came as pictured except for the coupler changes Yours without a doubt will be faster with those mods BTW I had the smooth coupler and K&N dual cone on when I purchased my Vette and wanted a little more so the changed occured several years ago and no looking back

You should have some new fun with your new mods and enjoy the new power, modding is addictive just ask me how I know

Truly bro., FUN is and should be the name of the game when it comes to Vettes, IMO. Some of you truly astound me though and your Vette is certainly one of the more special ones. My mods are so modest it embarrass`s me, so I have to joke around. Yours really must be an awesome ride, amazing ! Thanks for the positive notes.

Cheers/Peace,
Les

But, that said. I did install them both. Looks better anyway.
That does look awesome C5Ron!! Nice ride you have there!
I'm going to attempt a vararam install in the very near future, i think i will get one before then, and put it on while I'm at it.

Hey guys I installed the smooth power coupler last night, I brought this thread back up because IMO :

YOU CAN FEEL AN IMPROVEMENT IN ACCELERATION !

Just look thru the old accordian OEM, it is a big improvement on larger smoother air mass, in fact C6 Vettes have a smooth OEM coupler, so try it, you will like it, I believe.

Peace,

I put a black one on mine and made over 500RWHP.

I guess I should have gone with the orange one and made over 700RHWP.

I need to salute that awesome Red, Silver and Blue

Your engine bay is soooo groovy,

If you have big killer mods, don`t expect to feel anything from just the coupler, but bolt on mod guys, I think you will be very satisfied with your change out.

Fo sho,

If anyone is familiar with putting a riser plate under their carb they know how seemingly silly things do translate into hp gains.
