I have the Caravaggio rear spoiler and the ACI front spoiler coming. One of the questions asked at the paint shops I am checking out is how each are installed. Bolt on or tape? I heard double sided tape...what kind of speeds is the tape good for on the rear wing. Thanks.

Good question. I have seen ACI splitters ( chin spoilers ) that were tapped on come of at 100mph and the car drove right over them bump bump. Not good.
rear spoilers will hold for a while, but will come off if tape is used.
So that said if you plan on any above 100 mph track runs, you must bolt them both on.
I don't have a problem bolting on the front spoiler (can't see it too well)but how would you do the bumper. Drill thru the bumper? Is the Caravaggio set up for that or would you have to drill it as well? Drilling makes me nervous but I don't want these things flying off on track days.

Tape is for show, drill and bolt is for go. Unless the rear spoiler is molded into the rear fascia.
You could try tape, but eventully it will come off. dont think about even going with a front spiltter without the rear spoiler.
Your rear spoiler must be pointed UP at a 45* angle for it to be effective. If the spoiler just goes out the back, it is almost unless.
Then once you bolt on your parts be prepared to do some ride height adjustments, and may be some suppension modifications too.
Have both an ACI chin and rear spoiler and bolted them both on for two reasons.
1) I paid way to much to have them fly off and run them over and do more damage to my car. Front chin spoiler, which I just took off last week and is at the paint shop, is 14 bolts which are all drilled and not seen.
2) I dont want to take a chance that it will come off my car. When I did the Breast Cancer Awareness event last October at the Atlanta Motor Speedway I ran well over the speed limit and wanted to make sure I didnt lose it.
I used 3m tape on my carravaggio spoiler, never tracked the car, except drag strip and it stayed on till I sold the car. on the road, the car had been up to 150 mph or so. No issues , there was a slight gap on the wrap around in the rear, I was considering taping below it and CAREFULLY siliconing it, buy never got to it when I sold the car. I think if you bolt or tape ,the carravaggio rear will have that slight gap. good luck, it is an awesome look, though I am sure the angle is not up to the spec. in post above, it did seem to keep the rear of the car a little less dusty.
I have both the front and rear Caravaggio spoilers and I can personally verify they will stay on at excessive rates of speed in the correct speeding environment using tape for mounting. I've tested them to 150 mph. The front pieces do use a few screws also. As far as their effectiveness as aero aids, they were originally designed at GM as add-on pieces by John Cafaro, the designer of the C5. I would think a little research and testing might have been done in their development. John was going to market them on his own afterwards but then decided not to. He sold the molds to John Caravaggio and that's the story about where they come from.
I have the ACI front chin spoiler and rear spoiler, and it does bolt on to factory bolt locations. The ACI rear spoiler is bolted to the rear through holes drilled into the rear fender. The carravaggio spoiler is taped on only. I have personally seen the carravaggio prior to and after installation and it is a good fit and I believe would be near impossible to come off. It's pretty much as solid as your side mouldings and youv'e never heard of anyones side mouldings flying off before. The carravaggio also doesn't stick up as high as the ACI rear spoiler to catch that much wind to be able to pull it off at high speeds.

I just had my Caravaggio painted and installed 2 weeks ago. When I picked up the car I was upset with the fitment of the spoiler. The shop said something was wrong and it was the best they could do.
I took it to another shop the next day. They removed the spoiler and tape. I was there for this install and they showed me how it wouldn't line up. Yes there was gaps on both sides, but the spoiler wouldn't sit square on the car. They said the spoiler appeared to have a slight twist in it.
I have the ACI chin spoiler and its bolt on.
PM (with e-mail adderss) me if you want the directions and I'll e-mail them to ya. Its a put on take off and paint then put back on again process. You'll love it-I do.
