Default Z06 newbie..

Hello all... I've been a forum member for many years and have always appreciated the help and advice this forum provides... today I picked up a very nice 2002 Black Z06 (28k miles) and boy do I enjoy her!! How come you guys kept how great these cars are such a secret!??!?

I'm still keeping my trusty C4.. but WOW... is the new Z06 quite the ride!!!! Now if I can only get the seat track and skip shift problem fixed.. I'll be set!!!

Congrats on the new ride. They are great cars!!! I am keeping my old vette too. I have been adding miles and smiles to my Z every day since I picked it up. So far since November 07 I have added 7k miles to it. They are made to be driven and I am going to see how far I can drive this one. Enjoy your new toy.

Yup! I leave my garage door up often, My Neighbor gets to see my THREE CARS very often - 03 Cobra, 02 WS-6 and 01 Z06.. I SOMETIMES get to see his ONE 2006 Ferrari F430 F1. His BMW's don't count..

I had the classic seat rock issue.. The one with the bad rubber bushings in the adjuster screw nut... Fixed that today.. it was quite simple really.. took about 45min for the whole job!!

As far as the skip shift.. I jsut need to get the CAGS defeat ordered from ecklers!!

I drove a tank and a half worth of gas today.. (basically all day).. I love it!!!!

Also, get a CLB from Corvettes of Houston. About $50. and no more column lock worries. Very easy install. Congrats on the Z.

Great year and color choice. Bought my black 02 Z06 at the begining of the year. I just sold a 64 coupe which was a fun car to drive however

I had a 1964 Convertible for a few years along with the C4.. I never cared for anything but the looks of that car much.. no a/c, power brakes, power steering.. lousy radio..

But damn was it a cool looking car

From the sound of this post.. I'm maybe getting a little soft...

5 days later....

I still cant believe I own one of these fine machines.... damn do I love everything about it!!!!

I thought the notch back would be too small.. but I'm surprised how spacious it actually is... and those little cubbies in the back sure come in handy!!! Damn good design!

I hate to say it.. but it makes the C4 fell like a tractor! (ok except the seats)..
