Why does my A/C light up when Heater on?

Why does my A/C light up when Heater on?
This makes no sense to me. I set the temp to 90 degrees and hit auto. Heat starts blowing, but the A/C light usually comes on. Why is that?

If you use the "auto" setting button, it'll keep your AC on to pull the moisture out of the cabin. It really does help keep the windows clear when the cabin is all closed up. Read the manual...maybe that will help. I'm still trying to outsmart it!!

Yea it helps prevent Fogging
Before my vette i'd have the defrost blowing full blast with no effect and peering out a small hole in the window to drive.
Now the Vette controls everything and I just look good!!
