Nope, you did good.

The C5 has one of the stiffest frames, it is hydroformed. It uses a multi-million dollar piece of equipment which pressurizes one long steel tube to make a one piece frame rail. Most cars use many welds on many pieces to make a frame rail (thought you would want the details, from one engineer to another). No need to open (or not open) doors or take off (or install) Targa Top when jacking either, these were for older Corvettes.

If I may ask, did you have non-runflats, and if so, what jack did you use?

Default jacking question

Hi Cedge,
I f you only took a few hours to change the wheel & had the one side supported with additional jack stand & wood blocks covering both cross members on that side then you will have no problems as the suspension & the body is tough& flexible.I think on the older vettes the bodies were not as flexible as the c5 and if you made a habit out of just jacking one side it would have stressed the body around the door area, thus having a misaligned door & air leaks.
When I,am going to have my rear up or the front. I use both my floor jacks & raise both sides evenly, but thats just my way.
Tip: If your wheel needed to be balanced make sure the the new weight they put on the wheel is not a lead one. Needs to be polyester coated to prevent corrosion. Torque wheel nuts in a star pattern at 25lbs. increments, final torque is 100ft. lbs. Good time to check wheel axle nut torque(118ft.lbs.) requires a 34 mm socket

thanks for the info, especially torques, and they did use the polyester coated weights to balance.
