So about a week ago my drivers side DRL/Blinker went out. So I replaced it because let's be honest it looks dumb and the fast blinker click is annoying. Well this morning the same one is out again??
A week and a half is NOT the lifespan of the bulb I'm sure...

Are you absolutely certain that you have the bulb fully seated in the socket? As I recall it will only fit one way. If it is only making "occasional" contact in the socket it will act as if it is burned out. The other thing is that it is possible that you simply got a bad bulb out of the package.
Hmm ya almost positive no broken glass as I would have noticed that. I will go back out and make sure it’s seated correctly, as maybe I hit a bump in road that unseated it.
Ive had that happen before. Replaced the dirvers side one and a week later had to replace it again. So far it hasnt gone out again. That was probably a year ago.
You live in WA State. My guess is it's been raining this week and you have a lamp unit that lets in the water. Pull the light housing and you'll probably find that the bulb has burned the casing. You may be able to seal it. If not maybe time for new clear housings or inhibit the DRLs
Okay so I pulled bulb and it was basically frosty looking but was still dimly on (weird) so I'm not really sure what the deal is and I won't ever know because the stupid thing popped on me...
Now I'm wondering if the kind of bulb I bought doesn't like to be a drl? (silverstar 3157) or whatever...Have a second one I'll put in tonight...

Pull the A2 fuse and run without DRLs for a while and see if it still pops. If its an electrical issue it'll probably still blow. If its water, just using it as a T/S may give it a longer life. It may tie down the problem.
