I have typically bought 3 year old garage queens with 12,000 miles and drive them to 40,000 miles and look for another.

I would buy a C6 in a heartbeat and planned to do so this spring until the LS3 came out for 2008. Its the depreciation on the new car that is holding me back. Yet I do not want to wait 2 years to find that garage queen again. Still trying to decide what to do.

I am currently starting the fourth summer with my 2002 vert (32,500 miles).

Kept my black/black 99 Coupe.....Sold my silver/black/black 02 Convertible...(both were paid for)....then bought a triple black 99 Convertible for $7K less than I sold the 02 for....Put the $7K towards my new black/black C6 Z-06!!!..Kinda gives new meaning to the term "TRIPLE BLACK" doesnt it??...Besides, I cant live without a car payment...I need an incentive to go to work everyday....for five more years that is!!

This is my 3rd 'Vette and it's a keeper.I would really like a C6Z even more so after I drove one but,I won't give up the C5 for it.I'll just save
up again and continue to wait until their more within my budget.

I would only add a C6z. I would really like to keep my C5 for as long as God lets it, As soon as I get a C6z I will tear down the C5 and replace old parts and hopefully change the Engine and Add some go fast goodies.

I have, knowingly or not, wanted a Corvette for the last 40 years. I only last June was able to fulfill that dream, and I'm so very pleased with it; wish I'd done it sooner. I look at the C6s, but they just don't appeal to me; I'm keeping my AE coupe forever, it'll be my one and only Corvette.

Fortunately for me that's EXACTLY what the guy that owned my new (to me) C6 Z-06 did.....The Z only had 148 miles on it when he "pulled the trigger" on a new Ferrari!!!....He definitely had more money than brains!!!!....He bought the Z brand new on 070707...Traded it in a mere 6 months later after it had sat in his garage for most of that time...again, it only had 148 miles on it...He had NEVER put gas in it...It still had half the original tank of gas when I bought it on 020408!!!!....I figure it cost him about $15K to put those 148 miles on the car!!!!

That trade was a no-brainer huh? lol. I used to have a mustang too. No comparison.

Yeah, I just dont like the body style of the C6. I was lucky enough to be in the position to either by a new 08 C6 coupe (the convertible was just too much) or get a C5 vert. I bough an 00 vert 6spd with 80k miles. No one can deny the C6 is an awesome car. Hell, any vette is an awesome car. It just comes down to what you like.

You know something. It just puts a smile on my face when I see a young kid driving any American Muscle Car instead of some ****box fwd. LOL!

Keep it and slap on a SuperCharger and discover better performance in a timeless lined Vette!

They will never go out of date, especially with those lines!

Do a small P1SC and you will be living in a whole new Vette

Thanks,Matt

since I have 3 C5s guess I'll keep 'em

did play with a dealer in March since they were running o% for 5 years

with GM suppliers discount and 0% it'd ne $1022 per month and if I traded in a C5 it'd been about $650 a month

kept my C5 and bought 4.10 gears :<)

I really like the C5 styling...so I will stick with the C5 platform...regardless of what else I add to the stable. The C6 really doesn't do it for me.....maybe a Z...but that's a lot of jingle....then I think about what I can do with one of my C5's for alot less...that keeps me faithful!

This the dilemma I am going to be faced with in a year or so (end of GMPP term) I would like very much to go in this direction with my '04. But the future missus thinks I should just trade up and keep a warrantied Vette.

I plan on keeping my C5 for VERY LONG time. I don't have the "need latest and greatest" issue for me. Personally, I really like the looks of the C6 too. I like the harder lines that it has, etc.. A lot of the things folks complain about with the looks I think are fine.

I just want to keep my C5 till it has more HP then Peter Pans "stock" C5 has

Does anyone have a picture of a c5 sitting next to a C6 side view for body style comparison?

I'm keeping mine until they make a new Corvette with body styling that I like. Hopefully the C7 because the C6 isn't it.

I was leaning toward getting a C6, but I just cant get past the fact that I dont like the way it looks..I still just love the lines of the C5 so much better. Plus I've got a good deal of $$$ in my car anyway that still keeps in new for me
