I am going to change my wife's C5 coupe interior from light oak to torch red. If you can direct me to links for door panel, dash panel, seat and carpet removal it would be helpful.
Any sources for replacement panels would be helpful.
Is painting the door panels and dash panels a workable option or do I need to replace them to get a quality job done?
Help please as I think I just bit off more than I can chew....
I would not paint them, they'll come out junky unless you sand down all the surfaces. Best place to find panels is either a GM stealership (expensive but you know they'll have them) or a junkyard that has corvettes. It'll take some $ and time to piece together a set, but it can be done.
Painting is certainly an option and would be cheaper in my opinion. I had mine done professionally. Lots of people have done their own with nice results. You can find replacement carpeting, etc to match interior on ebay or right here on the forum.
