Default Heated seats

What was the first year the heated seats were offered?
Was it part of the sport seat package?
Thanks.

they were never offered in the c5. you have to retrofit a kit in there yourself.

Just put them in my wife's '01. Haven't had a chance to use them yet. They aren't real hard to install. The biggest pain is finding a place for the buttons. I put them next to the traction control button.

I got mine from Sports Imports and the generic kit was about $100. I have Mag Ride selector on the AH panel so I cant fit the switches there. I went for a mount in the ashtray.

I have a How to I can send if you PM me with your E Mail. nevr did publish that one but maybe I will if I have time over the weekend.

Heated seats came out as an option on the C6. C5s never had them but you can do an aftermarket kit - do a search as there has been a few posts about having this done. Also, forum member TomBoy just had her sport seats done with the heaters in there.
