Good for you. Other than the sound at WOT, I don't notice that kind of performance difference with mine.

I have to admit when I installed my BW I noticed a boost and that swooshing sound of air being sucked in...nice sound.

Can't say I had a noticable difference in performance when I put the Blackwing on mine, but it did feel a bit more responsive. It's a good upgrade from the stock system.

I just did the Blackwing upgrade with an ice box and relocated the MAF at the same time. FYI My post below shows how I did that (Not trying to hijack your thread)

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1992727

But my very first WOT 1 2 shift after this install and the rear end broke loose seriously.....like it never had before with A4 and 2.73 gears the 1 2 shift was normally a non event.

Same here - I did notice the car was a bit more responsive after the install, and it sounded better too.....

Me too!

SOP is the worst gauge of power increase. Most you'll get out of ANY CAI on a stock motor is 3-5 rwhp.

Not gonna feel that in your A**

Yeah, and a BlackWing is really not a CAI.
Granted, it is a larger filter and probably less restrictive of the stock system, but the OP more likely just had a colder driving surface to break the tires loose on, or a colder day for better HP that day to get the Spinning out of his tires.

There are probably several other reasons for the spinning of his tire, but I doubt the BlackWing is responsible for the results.

The most he would gain out of the BW is 1-2 hp, not eneough to "feel" a difference. Good try though. If it works to boost the price of a BlackWing, I will have mine up for sale for ..........ohhhh, let's say,............$450. Yeah, that would do it.

The real reason it seems faster is because your wallet is $450 lighter.
