All I know is I expected to find a Torch Red Targa top quickly, and It turned out to be a lot harder then expected...
try to find one in Arctic White...that was fun!
I am in Florida [read hot all year round] I had the lexan top on when I got the car and immediately went looking for a solid painted top...I found on on FlEbay and bought it...shipping was a bit of a pain (built box, and had a nice CF member pick it up for me and drop it off for shipping). Moral to the story is- the painted top makes the car considerably quieter and the "green-house" affect is all but gone!
I have both and I swap them back and forth. Last year it was the Lexan top and this year will be the painted top. Almost makes me feel that I have two vettes. Each changes the appearance from a sporty color contrasting look to a classic hard top look. I love em both
It really depends on what you like, I have both tops and I myself likes the painted top better, I think my Pewter coupe looks much better using the painted top, I did put on the glass top last week and drove a few days with it and it is growing on me a bit.
But still Painted is my choice.
