Default Broken!! Which is better?!

Well I did it... yesterday I took my targa top off only to realize that is was VERY hot... I dropped it and cracked it! Which one should I replace it with? A glass one or another solid black piece? Pro's and Con's?

I only have the Lexan top so I couldnt say which one would be better but I think I would prefer it over the solid top.

I love my glass top! It's amazingly light. I'm not sure what the material actually is, but it's very easily handled. It's cool being able to see the stars through the top an a night too cold to actually remove the top. I don't know what the price difference is, but I would pay some extra for the glass top.

Sorry to hear about your other top. I keep golf towels in the back of my Vette for removal of the top when it's hot.

I would only ever go with the glass top IMHO. I think they look the best, but to each his own.

Oh, I was actually thinking it was acrylic glass. I'm enough of a nerd to really care too.

i have both tops. i love the lexan top but in the summer the heat will do its job on your head, so i sometimes will put my solid top on when it is real hot and do not want to go topless. so they both are great for different reasons

It really depends on what you like, I have both tops and I myself likes the painted top better, I think my Pewter coupe looks much better using the painted top, I did put on the glass top last week and drove a few days with it and it is growing on me a bit.
But still Painted is my choice.

Nothing like looking at the moon and stars thru the roof.

There is an interior incert for the glass top, in case it too bright. Its vinyl and looks like the painted top from the inside when its inplace . Its in the Corvette catalogs.

I have both, and the solid color one is and has been in the basement "growing mold". For the summer, I have a nice insert for the glass roof, and it really makes a difference.

I've got both tops but I only really use the glass top. I love being able to see through it. It was an option the vehicle had to have. Even though I never use my body coloured top, I like having it just in case.

I have both, but have only had the solid one on once. On hot days I don't have any on.
