Default C5 1998 Overheating

I just installed K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit Second Generation 57-3020 an I am experiencing overheating, plus the thermostat is not opening at is temperature factory setting 195 degree. I believe I have installed as to manufacture directions. Looking for answer to this issue.

Thanks,

if your thermostat isn't opening at the proper temps I would think you have a thermostat that is sticking. How many miles? I haven't changed a thermostat on this car so I may be way off base but you may want to pick up a new one...unless the corvette tax is high, this shouldn't be an expensive part-I hope. Someone who knows a lot more will give you some more ideas too. Good luck.

What temps are you running? Do the fans kick on? Fill out your profile as well when you have a sec.

Probably time for a new thermostat, if the above fluid level and if your radiator is not clogged as our Vettes are bottom feeders
