I'm in Richland hills which is just North East of Ft Worth and need a body shop recommendation. I've used a couple over the last 15 yrs I've lived in this area, but was not impressed with either. Not a big repair and the car is black, so at least I'm not so worried about color matching.
I work in Grand Prairie, so there or Arlington might work as well.
Hopefully somebody has some good first hand experience with a shop.
Dumbass 18 wheeler scraped my drivers door and put a hole in the quarter of my 2 week old 08 coupe. Got 3 estimates and the highest was only $1500 which includes replacing the quarter, so not too bad.
The black shouldn't be hard to match. That is a very easy and small job. I own a body shop and I do all vetts that come thought the door myself. I would paint the door and quarter off and then install. No overspray and no tapelines. Also remove all trim off the door: handle, mirror, belt molding, and body side molding if you have them. It would make a nice clean job. Painting the parts off and laying them flat will alow you to slik out the clear without running because the parts are flat laying down on its side. Really they should look better then the factory paint job. I just painted a vett for a customer charged him $4800.00 and he won best paint in a car show. He came back and thanked me for a great job. I was very happy to hear and see the smile on his face while tell me. Good luck with your repairs.
