Default Partition Install Help

I want to make a partition for my 2002 convertible. I am going to make it out of MDF and I want to screw it in. I know I can screw it in at the top along the that metal rail that goes across at the top.

But I want some support at the bottom as well. What can I screw in near the bottom? I know I can't screw into the floor because of the gas tank.

But can I screw into the wheel wells? Maybe screw some screw some small wood blocks onto the wheel behind the partition and then screw the partition to the small wood blocks.

Can this be done?

Thanks,

Justin

What a lot of members have done, when mounting an amp rack or partition is glue down a piece of MDF using either liquid nails or some other adhesive that is appropriate and then screwing in that piece.

If I glued a piece of wood instead of screwing it down. Where can I get a good bond?

I'm trying to design an amp rack that is a partition for my convertible. The amps are kinda heavy so I want support at the bottom somewhere.

If anybody has done something like this, please chime in...

I know how to build the amp rack, I'm just figuring out to mount it.

Thanks,

Justin

You have to cut the carpet and glue the MDF to the fiberglass, if you use the right adhesive it will be extremely strong.
