!! Weird Gas Problem !! :(
Hey guys,
A couple of days ago battery was down, I wanted to open the hatchback of my coupe, didn't know any other way so I though of pulling the string to manually open it. Well, the string I ended up pulling was the one for the gas tank lid, located in the back left side. Well, neither of them opened. Oh well.
Now battery is fine, car running ok. Today at the gas station I pushed on the gas tank lid release button inside the console (as usual), and it didn't open the gas lid. I tried pulling on the string to open it manually, that didn't work either. When I pushed on the button inside, I can hear it Click, making the clicking/opening sound, but it won't pop out. Have I messed it up somehow? Can't think why, after all, the string is there to be pulled, if the button fails..
I'm totally out of gas, barely got home tonight @ 1AM
. I need Help... Plzz help me.

But I don't get what I'm supposed to do. I don't think I harmed it in anyway... just by pulling on it. I can hear the inside button go click, as in when the lid pops open..... but it just wont..

Look at the diagram. You can use that to chase the path of the release cable. It must have snapped the release mechanism when you pulled it last. Once you figure out where the break is (most likely at the release clasp since you can hear the signal being sent), you can reattach the cable and get it working again.
