Headlight Question-electrical-

When driving at nite I noticed the headlights do a quick flash, dimming as if there was a drain of power. Kinda like the a/c kicked on at the house and a light flashes. Nothing else was on in the car though, no a/c or defrost. The battery is good.
Any ideas?
