ACI front splitter question

ACI front splitter question
Hi guys,
OK, I have the Caravaggio rear wing and ACI front splitter in hand. MCM hood will be here any day. Can't wait!! Will post pics as soon as I get her back from the shop. OK, dumb question, I placed the front spoiler under there to see what it looks like and the 3 moldings are in the way (mine were moved forward because of my S/C setup unfortunately). Am I assuming these are totaly removed? Anyone who has this, please chime in so I can pass the info on to the paint guy just in case he isn't sure. Thanks guys!

If you are referring to the three black air dams, you remove all three to install the splitter and then reattach the center one. The center air dam directs air into your radiator without it you will run hot.

Don't suppose there are directions somewhere out there as to the placement of the center air dam? And the 2 side ones are removed entirely as well? I know these are questions that are going to come up and I would just assume have everything ready for him when the time comes. Thanks for the help.

Found this out when my installer removed all 3 factory pieces and the car began to run hot all the time. Went to talk to my friendly GM Corvette mechanic and he said "Some idiot removed your center air dam when they installed your ACI chin spoiler. You need that to direct air into your radiator" So another $59 and whallla --- back to factory temperatures. We all have to learn the hard way I guess. Im guessing the installer either didnt read or didnt get to read the installation instructions.

Didnt document mine, but the installer said it was pretty simple. You will need someone to help you hold the spoiler in place to mark the spots where the holes will need to be drilled. I think a total of 13. After that its drill, place screw tab in place, replace spoiler in position, and run the screws through. I have had mine on and off by myself on several occasions. Good luck.

You MUST rivet the brackets to the inside of the facia.
The entire install is straight forward and easy. I've done a few of them....
