weird noise
i have a weird noise when i hit bumps coming from the front right side....anyone have a clue what it could be....sounds like a flapping and a squeaking im thinkin shock or some other pivot point for the squeaking and i dunno about the flapping....and ideas??? y2k c5 57000 miles

I had a similar thing...
Took me a day to figure out it only occurred when i wasn't applying the brake...
Took the wheels off and found that the pad were loose and rattling against the caliper. I added a new retainer clip and the noise went away.

Get under there with wrenches in-hand and start tightening everything. I had a weird noise once that sounded more like a clunk whenever pulling into the work parking lot at an angle. Turned out it was a sway bar attach bolt was loose.
