Antenna is in the windshield and I believe in the back glass also. The reception could always be better, but I can't say it is all that much of a problem in mine.
My antenna is in the rear glass. I have never had an issue with radio reception. Of course I only drove in bigger cities that had really strong signals so my experiences may be moot.

The AM antenna is in the back window and can be affected by the heater grid if some of the grid lines have microscopic breaks in them. There is a TSB out on this addressing the issue. The FM antenna is in the front windshield. You could be having the grid line issue.
I swamped out my sound system and my reception sucks now , there is a post in here http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1117959
about how to fix it , I will try to find the dirrect link , do you have a stock radio?

DANG, how did I miss that post. I knew about the module and I think I tinkered around with it before. Guess I know what my project is this weekend......
