Default C5 with a Power Ragtop ?

Hi Brothas,

I recently purchased a 2000 Lt Pewter vert (my prior vette which I sold 10 years ago was a Red 1985...yikes, talk about night and day) and was wondering if there is an after-market kit that would make the "manual" ragtop into a "power" ragtop...?...just a thought and no I am not that lazy, this request is coming from my wife..and I am only posting to show her that she is spoiled just having a vette once again.

Thanks for your time, enjoy your rides, especially those of you that had withdrawels dealing with the winters...

Tell your wife the 15 seconds it takes to either raise or lower it is faster than the C6 power top. Not to mention the weight and $$$$$.
Congrats on the new ride.

I have seen it done but takes a lot of $$$$$$, adds weights and takes away some of the room in the trunk

Yes, there is an aftermarket kit.

Two issues:

1. It takes a LOT of trunk space away, and

2. It cost arount $12K (installed).

PM me if you want the company's contact info (if I still have it).

It takes about 10 seconds to do it manually, it's not worth the dough to get it powered.

When you are wearing high heels and a skirt in the wind as it starts raining it takes more time and effort.

I'm with the crowd. I was slightly disappointed when I first got the Vette but it really is so easy with nothing that could break that I'm now glad its manual. The thought of 12k to fit something that takes longer doesn't float my boat. JMHO.
