Had that happen to me once. Could not get in on either side. Ended up crawling in through the trunk. Left a note saying: Next time leave a can opener. A... holes like you should take the bus.

Well, look for my clunker parked next to a Vette. If they park on an island, I'll park in the next spot but I will straddle the line. This insures that no butt wipe parks next to your Vette and that you'll have more than enough room to swing your door wide open. If they decide to park too close to me, that's okay because my DD is a rust bucket anyway. They can ding the doors all the want. But then, so can I...

I protect as many Vettes as I can.

Twice I have had pickup trucks pin me in at an angle at Outback Restaurant. I always park with at least a curb on one side, but they pull in real close at an angle so that it is impossible to back out (on purpose). Both times, I just called the police and had them locate the drugstore cowboys inside and get them to move their POS.

Parking at the back of the lot is risky.A thief's dream a Vette all alone. And your parked so far back that no one would notice the break in. Mabe thats my thinking. If I were a theif that Vette at the back of the lot would be a good target,vs the one in closer quarters to the store.

I call it the Law of the Hot Car. No matter how far away you park when you come out there's always a car next to you.

This is just one of those problems that we can never get away from.....park to close, your doors get nicked, park towards the middle of the isle and they'll still find you, park to far and you vette gets stolen! They're should be a space available just for corvettes! What I hate seeing is when I would park my car in the middle of a rather deserted isle away from anybody else only to find a car on both sides of me. The thing is, the rest of the isle is still empty! Those people suck!

Not only are Corvettes chick magnets, but also *** magnets. Just be glad your car wasn't damaged.

I try my best to part near the back away from people and near a curb/island....unless it is pouring....but if someone parks next to me, oh well. What really irritates me is what the OP was talking about and someone parks to where you can not get into the dang car.

Yep, I do the same. Small price to pay for piece of mind.

I always park as far away from other cars as possable. It usually prevents idiots from parking close to your car.

I would of spit on his windshield, right in his line of vision.

It shows him somebody was unhappy with him, causes him the slight inconvenience of cleaning it off yet causes no property damage.

I don't care how far you park out, IMO taking up more then a single space is being an a$$ hat. Don't get me wrong. I'll park far out, and make the 1/4 mile hike to the store, but I only take 1 space. I don't know why, but it just me to see someone straddling lines.
