Last night went out to a local place for dinner. Parked within the park lot provided by the restaurant; I try not to park by myself cause I know people then think you are better then them and usually go out of their way to screw with your car in some manner. I decided to park mid way in the lot
So i parked as such (O=open, M = me , X = taken)
X O M O X X X
I come out and some one parked on the right of me no troubles. the guy on the left of me parked his R/T charger REALLY close, when I mean close i mean the door opened 4 inches at the back and touched his car
ever climb in the passenger door of your 6-spd vette to get in the driver's seat so that you could pick up your date when you backed the car out of the spot? ! ?
Although I was supper pissed off, I did NOT screw with his car although I am sure many of you would have...
That irritates me to the point where I nearly lose self control. You wonder why people do it sometimes. Is it really that important to them to have to park next to you just to be an ***? It just blows my mind. Or, are they just that ignorant that they can't figure out you just want to avoid other vehicles?
Last weekened I went into a Target on the way home from dinner with my wife. I parked about 10spots away from the CLOSEST CAR. When we came back out there was a monstrous flatbed diesel truck packed with junk parked right next to me. He barely left room for me to get the passenger door open for my wife. I mean....WTF is the point of that? There were at least 8spots open just in my row alone, not to mention the other 30-40 open spots CLOSER to the store itself.
I'll never understand why people insist on being ******. What benefit could they possibly get from it in their sick, twisted little minds.
not for nothing but you should be parking far away from everyone to avoid all of that.. as in nobody else around you
Ive parked last spot in the lot and end up like the guy said in the previous post... junk parked next to me. Hence why I took the idea of parking only a few spaces away but idiots still find ya

IN your choice of spots, you parked where you had two opportunities to have some one park next to you too close... Parking " Smart" takes alot of smarts.. you want to reduce the amount of possible damage or potential as possible.. Hell with your choice , you could have had cars on both sides of you at 4 inches.. I try to park on the end, always next to 4 door cars never two door cars... and when at a restaurant..I also look for someone who just parked because chances are they are going to be in the restaurant as long as I am... I would never want to give "Two opportunities" for disaster.. You dont want to park " Obvious".. just find the right spot that isn't obvious.. even if you have to sit and wait for the right spot.. dont forget the 4 door cars heads up.. if you can get out of your 2 door car, they can not hit you with their shorter 4 door car doors
The best places to park always involve an "island" or curb in the lot. Just put your wheel inches from the curb and then that will leave 3-4' between you and the parking space line. I'll walk 100yds. to park next to a curb or island.
A long time ago I had some bright orange stickers made that read:
'Thanks a**hole for parking so close, next time leave a FU**ing can opener so I can get into my car. Idiots like you should take the bus'
I may have to do that again. Good showing composure to not deface their ride as they seemed to not have the same respect for you. Probably a leased vehicle.

Yes, you certainly showed a lot of restraint.
The worst that happened to me was when I once parked in a handicapped spot (the double extra wide ones) at the supermarket since I had my wheelchair bound father ( ) as my passenger (not the vette). When I came out, some a-hole lady parked her car right on the passenger side, right over the do-not-park crosshatched area. Couldn't even open the door to get my father in.
Wasn't standing for that........
I waited the whole time the police were there, and it was priceless to see the look on her face, shopping cart full of groceries and all, as she watched her car getting towed away. BTW, she had a handicapped hang-tag, but showed no signs of needing it. I walked right up to her and called her a f'n moron. She asked the cop if he was going to let me talk to her like that. He told her "No law against speaking the truth!".
From: PHOENIX, AZ Yes, it's true. You are a good woman. Then again, you may be the Antichrist.

No matter how far I park someone always parks next to me.
So I parked at a restaurant with not a single other car in the parking lot...when I walk out there is a truck parked right next to me. Is it a scientific fact that everyone has a brain? I think we need more research because actions like this do not make sense.
I hate it when people show no respect to other people's property. Like posted above, park far and next to an island where your car is vulnerable on one side, not two.
I park as far away as possible. Vette has never been messed with, but I have come out of smaller lots and had people parked really close. It's always annoying, but I just remember my car is better than theirs.
Not doing something takes a lot of restraint. Ford Motor at their national headquarters, had security put stickers over the drivers windshield for those of us that parked in the no parking area. Not enough parking spaces. They were easy to peel off. Then they got stickers that were precut in 1" squares so you took off the sticker one inch at a time. That is a bitch in the middle of winter. Love to find some of those stickers now.
