Confused
It's the Z06's older brother. Was a limited production run only available in '99 and '00 and didn't enjoy a huge following at that time but has developed a serious cult following now. The Z06 became available in '01 and was based on this bodystyle. The FRCs only came in five colors with an all black interior. Black, Torch Red, Pewter, Arctic White and Nassau Blue.
All came standard with the performance goodies such as a six-speed, 3.42rear end and the Z51 suspension w/power steering cooler. Was not loaded down with useless options like memory, twilight sentinel, 2.73/3.15 rear ends etc.
Could be ordered with a HUD, active handling, fog lights, lighting package, magnesium wheels and telescopic steering ('00), Bloze stereo w/12 disc changer, dual zone A/C, power drivers seat and more.
Some people around here like to call them entry level
but depending on option level the FRC could get more expensive than some coupes.
Mine stickered at over $43K...and that was back in '99.
Considering what some C6s cost now I think GM has down a decent job keeping Corvette prices under control over the past several years.Slightly lighter and stiffer but most important it's the best looking C5 ever produced.
Here are examples of each color...

My humble daily driver...now has over 170K miles of very reliable fun and still going strong.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
The FRCs look great in white!! They used a color called Artic White for the FRCs. Speedway White was not used until 2001 and after. The Artic White is a brighter white. I actually like it more than the Speedway White, although both look beautiful.
