Default "underguard" strips?

I'm considering buying a set of these for our '04. Anyone else using them? How are they attached? Is the "built in" jack puck all that useful?
Any comments would be appreciated before I spend $270. + for a set.
Thanks.
Glen

You can buy them here for $60...

You don't need the built in jacking pucks. The point behind the jacking pucks is to give you a spot lower than the actual body panel so you don't put pressure on the body. This will sit lower than the body panel, so you can just use the bar itself.

Here is a link to Mid America's site. If you're familiar with these and can shed some light, please do so.
Thanks again.

OMG What a RIPOFF!! Those are effectively the exact same thing as the $60 ones I linked above. I've seen "Corvette Tax" before, but those take the cake.

Thank you for the information. This is what I was looking for. And the price is obviously far more attractive than MidAmerica's.

I got my rocker rails from A&A Corvette. Elite Engineering do a nice set and CCA sell them. All are Forum Vendors and have a link down the side of C5 General.
