Default thinking about going to the track

so im thinking about going to a track and finally after 2 yrs putting it to the test at the 1/4. and wondering if theres a link some place that can tell me times for people with c5s no mods and what i should be aiming for. i got a lot of miles on my car 145k but would like to race it once. its an a4, so if there is no link can some people tell me what i should be getting or aim for. this will be my first time at any track racing, back in the day, 7 years ago when i didnt even have a car, i worked at the track giving out the slips. it does have a new rebuilt tranny (1k) and new tires (1k) non runflat falkon 452 all around. i heard to take tc off, leave it in 3rd, rev up to 1600-2000 and not stomp on the pedel until i have started to go, then give her hell. thanks

matt

That sounds about right on the technique. I'd say you're probably going to hit a 13.0-13.2 Dont be surprised if its slower than that too. Since your vette is stock, i wouldn't be to worried about breaking anything, specially since you have a new tranny. Go out, have fun

These cars are most fun when they're stock
