I have a 98 with active handling. What is the price i should pay for shocks - im getting anywhere from $500 to $800 a piece. Is this correct?
Can i just put regular shocks without the electronics?
Thanks, dave
You have a '98. I am not too sure about this, but I don't think you have the F45 suspension. I know for a fact that you don't have the F55Magnetic Selective Ride shocks (the $500-$800 shocks you probably heard about) I wouldn't think new shocks for a '98 would be that expensive if you don't have either the F45 or F55 shocks
Yea if you got F45 shocks they are expensive, I know I used to have them on my Vette and now I have Koni FSDs. Some other options are C5Z shocks, Bilstens and there are others

Active handling has nothing to do with your shocks. Do you have the adjustable suspension (F45) with the selector **** on the center console? If so, then those prices are not too out of line.
yes i do have the switch on the center console. Can regular shocks work?
Yes they will all you need is 4 sims that cost me about $5 and it will fool the system to belief the shocks are still installed and I have had my Koni's on for over a year and zero codes. If you want to change them just shoot me a pm and I will send you the instructions I used to do my change over
