oil filter
just got back from the dealer and purchased a oil filter AC Delco PF44C.
My buddy said he uses a PF46 whats the difference

IIRC the 46 is the replacement for the 44

so what is the C designation mean and is that just a new part no.

Not sure but I use the PF46.

I don't remember ever seeing a PF44C, just a PF44. I use either one, the 44 or the 46 as they are interchangeable.

The C simply means it's the Canadian made filter. So the PF44C is the same as the PF44.
Up here, our AC Delco filters are made by Wix and use the same filtering media as the Wix, NAPA Gold and Carquest premium. So our AC Delco filters are better filters than the US made ones.
