seems like a really large spread. I'm surrised to see so many running T1R's on the street though. I would be concerned that they wouldn't last that long. Since I am looking to get a Z06 as a daily driver I may have to go with somthing a little harder compound.
Kumho's here. Thus far very happy. Might try the Vredestein's next time. I really wasn't that happy with the stock tires. In the dry they are great but wet they were really terrible IMO.
The Kumho's seem to be a really good all around tire for daily use. They don't stick that great below 60 degrees if you mash it. But thats fine with me for the $ spent. On a hot day they are just as good as the stock goodyears and if you get a quick Thunderstorm on the way home I'm not worried about going above 55 on the highway.
I just got the Kuhmos & like them so far. Do you still run 30 # air in them? the reason I ask is that at 30# in mine the edges don`t seem to touching the ground They are much smoother & quieter than the Goodyears. Thanks.

You might be thinking of the RA1 = UTQG 100 AA A? The Proxes T1R = UTQG 280 AA A

Noticed the same. I typically stick to 30#'s all around but now i have 30 up front and 28 in the rear so i can hook up a little better during the warmer months.
I can't see paying more for anything else. Too me they also look better on the car than the GY F1SC. Great street tires you can take to the track. I've driven these tires on the street and dogged them at HPDEs and they've held up great.
I've also have a second set of C5Z wheels mounted with Nitto 555RIIs in 275/17 front and 305/18 rear. Awesome at the track and can be street driven!
While you're looking you might consider the Sumitomo HTR ZIII's ...got really good ratings from tirerack. They are a pure summer tire that also hold up well to some track use. They beat the Bridgestone RE050A PP which in my opinion was a great tire when I tracked my 350Z.
