I installed the Bilstein HD shocks about 2 years ago and love them. They are slightly firmer than my stock z51 shocks were with 30k miles on them. But they improved ride on all roads at all speeds esp. on the interstate overpasses. I would highly recommend the HD's if you want a smooth right and not loose any performance.

with Pat. The HDs are the softer valved of the 2 Bilsteins (the Sports being the stiffer). I've had our '02 Z51 Vert since new and lowered the car 3 years ago, installed HDs and the car rides better now than it did new. there isn't any noticeable loss in handling either (no body roll). For $300 spent, you can't beat the Bilsteins.
