Question about X-Pipe/H-Pipe.
I have a question about the stock H-Pipe, Does the H-Pipe have the cats on them? or the cats before the H-Pipe? I have a good deal on an X-Pipe, But it doesn't have cats and I want to keep the cats.
Thanks in advance.

Bill,
The X-pipe doesnt have cats on them...You must cut your factory "H" pipe out just after the cats, then install the X-pipe in it's place.....If youre mechanically inclined, you wont have a problem with the installation, the instructions are pretty basic....Just make CERTAIN you take proper measurements BEFORE you cut the factory H pipe out...If you cut too short...youre in a HEAP of trouble....That's where a muffler shop will have to come in to straighten out the mess you made

Bill,
You will need to cut your stock exhaust (mid section) down stream from the cats, to install a X-Pipe.
When you get your X-Pipe, you will notice that the forward end is slightly flared and the other end has flanges welded to it.
The flared end slips over the area where you just cut and the flange end bolts directly to the over the axle pipes. You will need two of these for the area where you joined the pipe. http://www.jegs.com/p/Dynomax/744706/10002/-1/11527
If you are doing it yourself, I suggest you just drop the whole mid section from the over the axle pipe to the manifold flanges, then just line everything up on the garage floor and measure twice and cut once...
Peace
Chip

I just install the corsa x pipe very easy and clamped into place. I did go to Auto Zone and borrowed their pipe cutter (very cool tool), that made the install very easy. 6 bolts and 2 cuts your done. The instructions were precise and very easy to understand. Like the other guy and the instructions said measure once cut twice. Lost the motorboat effect also.
