shift lock soliniod
I have a 98 automatic;I am trying to change the shift lock soloniod.(somtimes it gets stuck in park) I have the counsle apart;but do not how to proceed;what to look for and so forth(I do not know what the solonoid even looks like)HELP

Hi there,
I am having the same problem too. Last week it was a bit hard to get the car out of park but I did it. Today I couldn't do it at all. What can I check to see if it truly is the solenoid?
I certainly don't want to break anything as as you know sending these to the shop is not a cheap thing. Plus I am also not mechanically inclined
